My first step was alot of reading, I rented books from the library, read online, and gathered as much knowledge as I coud and it is anever ending learning process.
Next was slowly eliminating sugar from our diets, and this has been the hardest on my husband and son, so I do ocassionally give it. I followed this with adding green smoothies into our diets so we get as much nutrition as eating a salad but without everyone whining about eating salad. We also transitioned to organic coconut oil as our main oil, and use chia and flax daily. Our bath and skin care has been simplified and I continue to seek the best of the best
We are now in the transition from cows milk to better options, my favorite being vanilla almond milk. We are also preparing our organic vegetable garden, and will be treating our lawn organically as well. I started cloth diapering our baby girl a few days ago, and I have worked on sewing reusable cloth baby wipes and dinner napkins.
My next plans are to start buying eggs and some meat from a locak organic farm in Hartford WI. My shipment of cleaning and summer needs products are on their way too. I am also planning an eco friendly garden party for my Elle's 1st Birthday next month
Dare I say OCD! Yes, I have become obsessed with going green.
I want to share my successes and failures with you along my journey, in hopes to enlighten at least one person to make a change.
